We are now working on a PA-3B Platinum Ultra. This is an ALL-BLACKGATE amplifier!!!!!! Yes, depend on it to be expensive, but depend on it to deliver a sound quite unlike anything you have heard before. Initial listening has been breathtaking. Here we have a sound FUNDAMENTALLY superior to other amps we have heard. ---------------- ---------------- ---------------- ---------------- ---------------- ---------------- ---------------- --------------- --------------- --------------- We have started to add a few things to the "Tips & Tricks" page. (07-03-02) --------------- Aggressive new pricing and updated listings for our Musical Concepts digital products. Start here!! (7-20-02) --------------- More goodies added to the Demo/Used page (8-1-02) --------------- We have been using the incredible Meadowlark Audio Blue Heron www.meadowlarkaudio.com/blueheron.htm for our reference for some months now. What an awesome tweeter! This speaker has it all and eclipses all our past references in many areas. The transparency of this speaker is responsible for several recent updates in our products since we are now able to hear so much more than in the past. They start at $8800 in standard veneers? We are currently waiting, in a long line, for our first pair of the Meadowlark Audio Swift loudspeaker, www.meadowlarkaudio.com/swift.htm, which is already enjoying a cult following. It's barely been out a few months - wow! These, we understand, are incredible speakers for only $995/pair!!!!!! We are authorized by Meadowlark Audio to sell their fabulous speaker line. We have listened and used many of their speakers over the years, in fact only interrupted for a short time by the lovely InnerSound Eros and Isis electrostatic speakers. The Shearwater (www.meadowlarkaudio.com/Shearwater.htm ) is an especially fine speaker at under $3000. It has tremendous bass and very open sound. Meadowlark Audio has a great speaker line from top to bottom. (8-15-02) --------------- The question is, should I feel stupid for waiting in
anticipation for a $995/pr speaker? Well, I can't help it! We will see the
Meadowlark Audio Swift in less than two weeks and we are still hearing very
positive things about this speaker. We already know that their speakers are
gutsy and dynamic. Pat McGinty, designer of the speaker, claims that it has
good output down to 38Hz. This is a fairly small floor-standing speaker mind
you. Pat says he has refined transmission line "design" to the next
phase. With performance like that, who's quarreling? P.S. - Have had the speaker for several weeks and is everything we hoped. Tremendous soundstage, transparency and openness - very spacious and natural. Excellent bass performance with only the very bottom foundation sacrificed to bring you all those great advantages at $995/pr. Amazing! (12-05-02) --------------- |
